A few things from the web in the past few weeks that might tickle your little grey cells:
- One of our own, third year UG Samiran Culbert, writes on identity and country music for HI! Magazine
- As a few of us around the School start getting excited about going to see Tosca at the Liverpool Empire on the 8th April, the Royal Opera House ponder what makes this “shabby little shocker” such a favourite.
- Personally, I’m quite passionate about making opera feel more accessible. It seems Dave Tries is an evangelist for ballet. Here’s his guide to seeing a ballet, in case anyone’s been too scared to ask all this time!
- Earlier this week, I attended a seminar on MOOCs (massive open online courses). This video–a parody of the first music video on MTV–was a student submission for a MOOC on digital cultures (see #edcmooc). So well done, I think it needs sharing!
That’s the trawl for today. More another time.
